Obviously you fail to grasp the simple concept they are trying to get across. How do you turn and silly, outdated video game steeped in lore that is as complex as brain surgery and make it relatable and/or realistic? You answer, this trailer.

If you are trying to ground the story in reality you need to find things that actually relate to reality. The hardening of the skin for the childhood disease was a great way to create Reptile. Those of you who say otherwise are just too bloody sensitive.

Basically, Mortal Kombat is a series that is dead and should stay dead. If you are going to revive it, you have to create a whole new angle. Leave behind the Outworld, stealing souls, deep freeze, Ki blast and make something actually plausible.

I totally agree with the other Anonymous, using real footage of ill babies is not the way to give that B-movie piece of trash a realistic feel. That shit should be banned from Earth.

It's played so serious and feels like a real labour of love for somebody. It reminds me of the opening credits of the cartoon M.A.S.K, a world of god awful nonsense. I read elsewhere the words "Hollywood has gone full retard" I find it hard to disagree.

It's an R-rated version of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.

As was the case with that movie, the guy making this video has no idea why the game series was ever popular.

The guy's also a major asshole for exploiting the image of terminally ill "harlequin" ichthyosis babies for the sake of a shitty hack job video game pitch. He'll strip out anything that was fun or memorable about this thing he's adapting and make fun of birth defects instead? What a mean, clueless dope.
