Damn … if only ONE of you had absolutely loved this film it would of made my day. At least Leah is declining to grade, which is probably the wisest grade there is for this movie right now.

I remember that the New World was criticized for not having \”nothing happening\” in it but now is considered to be another outerworldly Malick masterpiece.

Here\’s hoping the same happens with Tree.

Interesting reviews. Cheers, guys. What were your initial thoughts when you saw other Malick films for the first time? Would be interesting to see how your opinions have changed. I was underwhelmed by The New World on first viewing but came to adore it subsequently.
