Saw the Thompson piece last night before bed, but that's no more confirmation than Poland has. "I'm hearing this…" is pretty much just her hearing a different thing, but yeah, i'm gonna update, but that's hardly "confirmation."

Right, internet nonsense. That's why it was officially confirmed in the trades and Pitt took over for Matt Damon.

And that's why when i myself asked Aronofsky last fall, "so what's the status with The Fighter?"

And his answer was, "Brad's off the project, so we need to figure that out."

I suppose I didn't hear that and I suppose he wasn't pretty annoyed when he had to discuss it cause it was relatively fresh and disappointing to him?

Whatever language you wanna use, "attached," etc. He was certainly involved at one point. There's at least three Variety projects that will attest to this.
