This year at Comic-Con, Warner Bros. was kind enough to bring a model of Abin-Sur, a character from the forthcoming “Green Lantern” film, for all nerds to see. This is a full body model of said character resting, looking as if he is either experiencing a horrific night-terror or resting on an uncomfortable bed. He seems to have an open wound on his chest, so hopefully the poor guy can recover and enjoy the geek-fest around him.
Abin-Sur is famous for giving Hal Jordan (played by Ryan Reynolds, and you can see him in his suit here) his ring and super powers, and he coincidentally conked out before explaining to Jordan why he would be weak to the color yellow. The character will be played by Temuera Morrison, who’s famous for being copy-and-pasted in the infamous “Star Wars” prequels as the clone Storm Troopers and as both Jango and Boba Fett.
It’s unlikely that this is a suit that Morrison wore on the shoot, considering the effects could be replicated by extensive makeup (and look more natural), or in the same way Reynolds is rolling, in a mo-cap suit. For more pictures of the model, you can check them out here.
