Scott works fast. I don’t think he’s gone over schedule on a film in years. He shot, finished & released The Martian about 10 months after Exodus: Gods & Kings came out. Most likely he’ll shoot “Money In the World” this year for a release in 2018 (or even this December if they really move) while the next Alien is in pre-production & then he’ll shoot Alien in 2018 for a release in 2019.
As long as he doesn’t get distracted by another project that is. And that happens a lot.

Um, I thought Ridley Scott was only making Alien movies from now on? Didn’t he say he wants less than a two year turn around on them?
