nonsense? hmm. no. check the catalog. and screw you if you are some elitist of film. i\’ve forget more than i care to debate and i\’m probably half your age. criterion runs a business, FOR PROFIT, and i last time i checked film is a subjective medium. criterion laserdiscs were extremely random. Seven, dead ringers, ghostbusters, THE ROCK…so please. pick a fight with someone who doesn\’t know anything.

@jimmiescoffee: Nonsense, that claim is vastly exaggerated. Amidst the hundreds of Criterion releases, a couple or two were just random releases that aren\’t really part of the real Collection per se – but these should never be clumped alongside the 99.9% of the other releases that are, unless of course, you\’re biased and want to prove a point.

purists of the label? i\’m pretty sure a ton of the laser discs were random modern titles. i\’ll take \’darjeeling limited\’ and \’benny button\’ any day. but i also want them to finish up some of tarkovsky\’s stuff that cost $30 for a shit DVD.
