Ah, but while trying not to sound like a pessimist (given I am the admirer of the man), I do wish he wouldn't take upon the topic…not because of the topic itself (tho, as the article mentions, it has been done before – but what hasn't?), but because I miss the 'old', 'smaller scale' Haneke, who didn't need to shoot 'USA and Japan' for his cinema. I am aware that the success of 'Das Weisse Band' in the US means more production money probably, but hey, don't become carried away by that, please…
