Star Wars IS about the Skywalker family is it not? its a big universe, but the story IS NOT about 2I9G, Buck Do-gooder or any minor character. Han Leia Luke etc wont be running around like in the OT, but it doesn't mean they cant see a bit of action and have plenty of screen time. I take it most of the people that comment are younger than 30!!

If Michael Fassbender joins the cast of Star Wars, I don't see how it's possible for him to stay on with the Assassins Creed movie. It could happen, I don't know but if he has a good reason to leave Assassins Creed, it would be Star Wars.

Princess Leia trades in her chainmail bikini for Depends?

Luke needs a hip replacement?

A noted director once pointed out that it is hard to make elderly physical comedy funny when the audience is worried the actor might hurt themselves. I think he was talking about why the last Lucy show in the 80's was such a bust.

And I believe that rule probably applies to sci fi action as well.

Leading roles for the original cast: ridiculous.

A whole new trilogy about the same characters as the previous two, because why challenge yourself to create something when you can just repackage something else. After all, the content of these blockbusters doesn't seem to matter to audiences these days, just a familiar name, some famous faces, and a mildly tweaked variation on bombast. All the money gets dumped into the infernal churn of mindless films for dim and unadventurous audiences.
