I’m talking no less than one, and sometimes two screenings per day. A lot of it has to do with the studios’ current unwillingness to use screeners this year due to online piracy. MGM was a late addition to this power-packed week, and I actually even had to turn them down because they were screening on the same night as Benjamin Button. So as crazy as their excuse might sound, MGM’s statement does have a little bit of clout. Guess we’ll have to wait and see the movie sometime to be sure.
