It’s the trouble with liberalism. We enjoyed his movies and for a time he got a lot of shit into the popular consciousness that we currently lament the absence of in these blockbuster days. People hated him but were afraid to lose access to the shit he successfully convinced people he was solely pushing into the world for the better. Lots of fuckery and much of it indicting for many.

You knew he was a bastard or that he abused women? There’s a big difference. We all knew he was a bastard. I read trade mags too in the 90s and none of them ever printed articles about him abusing women.
