T3 benefits from the interesting idea of, ok, John Connor has prevented a future in which he would be humanity’s leader- now he’s a junkie bum that no one cares about. And Nick Stahl is pretty good in the role too. Plus, the action stands up nicely- not up to the previous two, but they do destroy a full city block. Also, that dark, foreboding, ballsy ending, surprised they got away with it. Some of it, including the first half hour, plays like Terminator Dinner Theatre, but I found the rest to be as rewarding as summer blockbusters can be.

The footage looks great. McG remains an asshole. This is a rental, unless critics go gaga for it. I’m an easy mark for anti-robot movies- I don’t think they’ve made a bad Terminator yet- but man, the fumes of assholery that McG gives off are hard to ignore.

But the trailers look so incredibly bland. Explosions, giant robot, and Bale’s yelling and all and it still feels lifeless. I stopped judging movies so harshly by their trailers alone after Iron man, which looked like a Transformers wannabe(boy was I wrong). But damnit, T4 looks like it sucks A FAT D*CK!

I do like this movie, a lot!

It makes me wonder why people who don't like the movie feel the need to tell people that they don't like it over and over and over and over and over again. It's kind of weird. Oh ya, sweetie, I know PG13 blah, blah, blah.

I'll be there opening weekend, just like you and half of America.
