There are hundreds of talented screenwriters with real original ideas for scripts who never get their foot in the door because their dad\’s aren\’t successful directors. You act as if most screenwriters don\’t have a stack of ideas, pitches and scripts at the ready. We do. Tons of them. What Max Landis is doing is whining about his own movies, acting like he\’s somehow been wronged by Hollywood (he hasn\’t), and somehow getting praise from writers like this one for it. Maybe if he spent more time actually fine tuning his scripts and taking constructive criticism, and less time patting himself on the back, maybe he\’d not have a movie that just bombed at the box office with a $5.5 million opening weekend on his resume.

LOL MAX LANDIS (AKA a mong), while you\’re crying at your keyboard, Landis and Nourizadeh are getting movies written and made. They mightn\’t be the best but they\’re an honorable and distinct alternative to the majority of what\’s out there at the moment. Why not support people at least trying to create something unique?

Reading these comments reminds me of that line in The Life Aquatic when (I\’m paraphrasing) Zissou says how people are inspired to say awful things about you largely because they\’re just jealous.
