Whenever I hear about an American going to Japan, I always know Ken Watanabe will be in it. Seriously, such an uninspired choice. That said, the film sounds like it's going to be awesome.

This would've been such a startling project, I'm sure, for the crafty Harris Savides. I wonder who Van Sant will make his next DP. I'd love a plucked from indie Bradford Young or Laurie Rose.
