That poorly cut trailer is a pretty accurate representation of the script. In fact, they probably did the film a favor by only obliquely referencing some of the more ridiculous story elements.

I am guessing no one in the Universal story department loved this script and that the whole project was a play to get Damon to sign on to another Bourne.
