This book is so enlightening and it's subject a part of Asian/Christian history that is nearly unknown. I hope it gets produced and promoted.

No mention of the fact that the novel has already been adapted for the screen by renowned director Shinoda Masahiro (Pale Flower, Samurai Spy, Double Suicide, etc) in 1971?
Come on.
This is going to be mediocre. Scorsese simply has lost the spark that made his work once some of the best, or the best, America had to offer.
