It’s one thing to negotiate a big salary to exploit your star status – it’s another to exploit the desperate situation of a production hundreds of people worked on and poured their heart in. Shame on Wahlberg. It’s not like he needed the money, and unlike he was planning to donate it to sexual harassment victims, this reflects very badly on his personality.

Probably Jagernauth doesn’t know one obvious thing: Mark Wahlberg IS A MOVIE STAR WITH INTERNATIONAL VALUE, he can command big paychecks, regardless of whether it’s right or not. Christopher Plummer is a character actor, same goes for Michelle Williams, who outside of the cinephile bubble is virtually unknown. They don’t have the same power or international value that Wahlberg has. PERIOD.

Good for Mark Wahlberg! That’s what it’s all about. Doesn’t name recognition have something to do with this? As talented as she is, Michelle Williams is a virtual unknown, especially among boomers. Wahlberg, on the other hand, is well known across the generations.

What an Asshole. A real stinkin’ Asshole. That’s his statement as to what he thinks
of the struggles facing women everywhere, and how much (ZERO) he supports them.
From what I read, Williams (who surely has way less $ than Marky Mark), was willing to do it for anything. Even left her daughter on Thanksgiving just to help and worked for $ 80 – EIGHTY dollars ! As did a few other lesser names. But him ? No …. that’s who he is.
Suffice it to say – I won’t be watching anything he does from now on ( yes, I know, my efforts mean nothing). But yes, I will deny myself the supreme pleasures derived from watching Marky Mark “Thespe”… Ha !
