I\’m very skeptical on this film though for the issues raised in this piece. Forster can be a solid director (along the lines of a James Mangold) in that you can be assured the film will be well made, even though it may never rise to the level of a great film, or even a good one. He can take material and make a decent film, he just never really elevates it to something more. Considering the nature of this story and its many obvious pitfalls, it\’ll be interesting to see what he has produced. I\’m not confident in what the results will be but I give him credit and my respect for trying to tell different stories.But now that I think about it all of his films seem to center around one man and his struggle in some way. So I guess they\’re not that different, just in different tones and genres.
