Deadline gave more details about the Tirana character saying she has fake skin and snake eyes and is sexy and dangerous. Sounds like she\’s a cohort of Randall Flagg (aka Walter Padick aka The Man in Black) though I don\’t remember her at all in the book.

There is a Tirana character who is very minor. Don\’t think that\’s who she\’s playing. Somebody leaked on reddit that they\’d seen the script and it totally changes how King has the story progress. According to them (and they sounded believable) the story concentrates on Roland, on Jake (a kid) and the Man in Black. Susannah (the African American wheelchair bound character) doesn\’t appear to be in the movie – the first one at least. Maybe in the sequels? Also, I read they\’ve abandoned the idea of a TV series. It\’s just going to be (probably) 3 movies. McConaughey and Elba wouldn\’t be likely to accept such an extended commitment either. They\’ve both got too many other fish to fry.

Well, firstly Tirana is a minor character who, I believe, only appears in the seventh Dark Tower book. So I\’m not sure how this is being widely reported as the \’lead female role. Susannah Dean is the lead female role in the series.
