The summer of superhero movies might be over with “Suicide Squad” being released over the weekend, but you’ll have some choices when it comes to comic book stories this fall. Of course, “Doctor Strange” will be making his big screen debut, but over at Netflix, Marvel fans are excited to finally see “Luke Cage” flex his muscles in his own series.
After making his mark with a significant arc on “Jessica Jones,” Mike Colter leads the upcoming show that will track the evolution of Luke Cage after he has relocated to Harlem and is in the process of picking up the pieces following his failed relationship with Jessica Jones. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.
“Luke Cage” arrives on September 30th.
