‘Luckiest Girl Alive’ Trailer: Mila Kunis’ Perfect Life Could Come Crashing Down In New Netflix Thriller

Recently, Hulu debuted the film, “Not Okay,” about a young woman lying about her past in an attempt to garner sympathy on social media. It appears Netflix is about to release another film about a woman potentially lying about her past. However, in “Luckiest Girl Alive,” there could be way more sinister secrets to be unveiled.

As seen in the trailer for “Luckiest Girl Alive,” the film follows the story of an aspiring editor who is meticulously crafting the life she always dreamed about. She has the perfect job, a wealthy socialite husband, and a life that other woman would be envious of. But all of that could come crashing down when a story from her teenage years is threatening to come out that might turn her into a potential villain.

The film stars Mila Kunis, Finn Wittrock, Chiara Aurelia, Scoot McNairy, Thomas Barbusca, Justine Lupe, Dalmar Abuzeid, Alex Barone, Carson MacCormac, Jennifer Beals, and Connie Britton. “Luckiest Girl Alive” is directed by Mike Barker, based on a script by Jessica Knoll. Interestingly, the script for the film is adapted by Knoll based on her own novel of the same name. So, the writer seemingly had quite a bit of input on the production of the film. 

“Luckiest Girl Alive” arrives on Netflix on October 7. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Luckiest Girl Alive centers on Ani FaNelli, a sharp-tongued New Yorker who appears to have it all: a sought-after position at a glossy magazine, a killer wardrobe, and a dream Nantucket wedding on the horizon. But when the director of a crime documentary invites her to tell her side of the shocking incident that took place when she was a teenager at the prestigious Brentley School, Ani is forced to confront a dark truth that threatens to unravel her meticulously crafted life.
