If people ACTUALLY watched it instead of parroting what everyone else thinks they'd realize that it's not that good. It's over-stylized, has a laughable hypnisis subplot and the villain's plot isn't that interesting. Spielberg and Smith could have reinterpreted the source material (yes, Oldboy is an adaption) and provided something new. This project's not happening anymore, but the reverence for the film needs to stop.

I just don't get what they want to do with it. Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham, sure. Michael Bay and Nicolas Cage, definitely. But Spielberg and Will Smith?! It's like Ron Howard remaking Irreversible.
