They were NOT dead the whole time.

Also, implicitly attributing to Abrams aspects of LOST’s ending are inaccurate and misleading, no matter how nicely you can use that to tie LOST’s ending to the mystery box concept.

You don’t need to spend multiple paragraphs disparaging LOST to build up The Leftovers. Criticism isn’t a zero-sum game.

If you want to write about how disappointing the finale still is for you 7 years after it aired, maybe you should just write a separate article where your opinions don’t feel awkwardly slugged in.

And by the way, Lindelof is not solely responsible for either “Cowboys and Aliens” or “World War Z”. He is one of 5 credited screenwriters on “Cowboys” and was brought in to re-tool the third act for “WWZ”. I have no problem with criticism of his work but at least get your facts straight first.
