@Pag: Not really. That\’s mostly a myth spread by people who\’ve never seen the movie. The Hidden Fortress is more like if the droids were the main characters, Luke was a minor character, and Han didn\’t exist. Or something.

And take a look at that Time Magazine cover:

Propaganda anyone? Abrams / Disney & company are worried someone, somewhere will still have a Dollar left that isn\’t given to them ? (You sure Lucas isn\’t in there advising somewhere on the Marketing?) Enough with that already too.
I plan on seeing this sometime. I am mildly excited to see it. But I don\’t HAVE to see it the second it comes out. Saw the 1st 3 in Theaters – more than once. The 2cnd batch of 3 ? Rental.
But I will say one thing. It is nice to see folks even a tiny bit united about something, anything in these less than Stellar, Mediocre times.

Hi, not trying to be mean, but "The Hidden Fortress" is not only an influence. It literally has the exact same plot as Star Wars. Just sayin\’. Happy Holidays!
