@ScorpTO Better than calling something "Bram Stoker's Dracula" or "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein" and then deviating from the book. Calling it "M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender" leaves no doubt, for better or for worse, that it's been significantly altered from the source material. I'm a huge fam of the series, and I generally like Shyamalan's work (despite his legendary ego), so while there are doubts I remain cautiously optimistic.

The cartoon was very well-respected and admired by both critics and fans. It won numerous awards and last time I checked was watched by people both old and young (from my 5-year-old nephew to my 53-year-old mother) that being said, I HATe when people refer to it as "M. Night Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender"." This has been a HUGE source if debate and people cannot stand the fact that he and/or the studio continue to place his name before the title. It seems egotistical and almost like he's trying to take credit for something that isn't really his.

With the way the camera zooms in on the action and back out, makes it look like 300, but for kids.

I'll see it. Looks really good.
