I absolutely love Demme and Young on their own but I guess I expected to be told more of a story rather just watch a concert on screen. I also never caught the previous films in this series. There were some interesting camera angles, but I don't understand why Demme held one particular shot so long after a large wad of Young spit covered the lens. This shot went on for well over 2 minutes and I'm still not sure what he was going for by making us look at it for so long. Wouldn't recommend this film to anybody besides Young's most ardent followers.
