Got a Tip?

Kevin Spacey: “Unless It’s Martin Scorsese, And It’s A Really Significant Role, F— Off”

House Of Cards Season 2 Trailer

Kevin Spacey might be Hollywood’s most intriguing enigma at the moment. Certainly one of the finest actors going, but one who hasn’t appeared on the big screen since 2011’s “Horrible Bosses,” he spent most of the last decade abroad working in theater and is currently the lead in the Netflix series “House Of Cards.” So why don’t we see him more often? High standards.

“Unless it’s Martin Scorsese, and it’s a really significant role, f— off,” he told THR. “I’m not playing someone’s brother. I’m not playing the station manager. I’m not playing the FCC chairman.”

And if you think he’s being nuts, go right ahead. “People thought I was crazy 11 years ago when I moved to London and started a theater company,” he adds. “What is he doing? He’s out of his mind. People thought we were crazy when we made the Netflix deal for ‘House of Cards.’ ‘They’re out of their minds, it’ll never work.’ I’m used to people thinking I’m nuts. And you know what? I kind of love it.”

We love it too, man. Though, it should be noted that Spacey is never above making a buck, with the stint in “Horrible Bosses” apparently netting him $1 million for just a couple days of work.
