Regardless of you assholes who couldn't make a movie better than even Jersey Girl, I am excited for Clerks 3. I'm looking forward to seeing how Trevor Fehrman is used, I thought both him and Jeff Anderson have a unique connection not seen in many buddy comedies anymore, ala Now You Know. I've been a fan of Fehrman's since Cheats in 2002. I've been following Smith since Clerks was released and I'm glad his final directorial film will be Clerks 3.

On a final note, you assholes who have never made films, show some fucking respect for people who have. If you don't like his films, fuck off.

Chasing Amy was very good as was Red State but he has never really grown as a director creatively frozen in time to his first success. He was very good as an actor in "Catch and Release" maybe its time to change careers. If he makes Clerks 3 he might not have a choice.

It took everything that was cool about indie film in the 90s and reduced it to a steaming pile of goat shit. And "The Empire" comment shows how bad of a writer he has become with age. Empire is clearly a second act. This is the third Clerks. My fear is the comment suggests he's making more.
