"BVS" was fantastic! Ben Affleck was terrific. Everybody bitched about Adam West\’s Batman being too goofy. Then they praised Michael Keaton\’s Batman because he wasn\’t goofy. Then we got Val Kilmer and George Clooney and neither were very good. Christian Bale comes along and tops them all, but Ben Affleck–looking like Frank Miller\’s Batman wipes out the memory of all those versions of Batman. Kevin Smith blew it on this one. No humor! Damned right. This reboot is the best. Not everything can be Iron Man or Deadpool. It\’s high time that Batman took off those kid gloves. You have to understand one thing about most movie critics. They hate movies because they have to see them and write about them.

I think that he\’s missing the fact that DC is supposed to be dark! Marvel is supposed to be funny/heart warming. If you went into that movie expecting it to be funny you must not have paid much attention to the trailers, they made it pretty obvious that it was a very serious movie.

When he says there is no fun I think he\’s referring to the audience and not that the characters should be acting like clowns or cracking jokes. Yes the city is being destroyed and people are dying….but it’s a movie. A COMIC BOOK MOVIE. Not Schindler’s list. Not a documentary. You should not be depressed watching these movies. There is no law that a dark and serious movie CAN’T be entertaining. They should stop focusing on not being like Marvel and focus on making a good movie that makes sense and entertains. Yes it made a ton of $ but would anyone really watch it over & over again. I wanted to like this movie, can’t say that I did.

No its not the same, and it shouldnt be the same. Marvel is fun and good, DC is dark and serious. Thats how it should be, stupid to compare the two franchises to eachother. Everyone "almost" like Marvel, and some like DC. Personly i like DC most, but we people are so different, and thats good that we are 🙂 Other then im not sure about Snyder should be making these movies, i think Kevin Smith should stfu and try making something good himself, before bitching about other people 🙂

Apparently everyone was sleeping when a ceremony was held that crowned Kevin Smith "king of all nerds", which in turn made his opinion the one true opinion to hold when it comes to this film. Much like constantly saying that so many critics hated it, reiterating that a guy who enjoys comics hated it doesn\’t magically mean that he speaks for every person who has ever read a comic.

Exactly what this movie did not need is to be like Marvel fun, laughable and childish. I think he missed the whole entire point or just never ever read any of the comics. This was a fight and the city and people were dying whats to laugh about..
