Smith is a partisan. In other words, he views Star Wars like his favorite political party or political candidate. Said party/candidate can never do wrong. They are always right. Every SW film is “f*ckin awesome!” He’s childish and fanboyish to an extreme.

Honest people who love Star Wars can at least admit that The Last Jedi was a bad film. We don’t view Star Wars like a political party or candidate. We don’t go to political rallies and cheer the infallibility of Ruin Johnson or Kathleen Kennedy. We appreciate good storytelling, good characters, and good narratives – none of which exist in TLJ.

Pretty rich coming from a guy who made his whole career off the back of the ‘George Lucas raped my childhood’ meme.
