…"reboots" with a new face are generally thought of as being more palatable when the time between reboots (but in this case its a continuation) were more spread out. Now studios are releasing them with the frequency of a monthly comic. I think spiderman is a better comparison, if people can accept the face change (though in this case its not as recognizable as RDJ) that may be a better assessment.

Armie Hammer can be snarky and also really likable. I could see him playing Stark in 5-6 years if Iron Man 3 is Downey's last, especially if the Lone Ranger is stand-a-lone and doesn't bring sequels…oh, who am I kidding…

007 movies are able to replace James Bond. It's made clear that it's his cover name and real identity has been destroyed so he can be fully utilized as asset for his majesty service.

So are they basically going to replace the character of Tony stark with alternate character who've don the suit. When Tony was in some type crisis of circumstance. Are they make it harder for themselves by replacing Tony Stark with a different actor each time. Possibly risk diminishing the franchise as whole if one of those replacement actor just gel with audience.

I place money on the suit becoming self-aware (or whatever Nanobots can do) and Tony Stark has to take the suit on with his BRAIN.
