If I went by their scores, which are aggregates of critics’ reviews, I’d see nothing but dramas and foreign films. I’ve often thought critics, who are paid to go to movies, must hate their jobs, as flicks I find at least fun are given abysmally low reviews. Modern film criticism seems based on some phantom aesthetic derived from God knows where. I miss Roger Ebert. He loved going to the movies.
