Well the trailer was 3.5 minutes long (the longest in recent memory), so it’s no suprise the movie is gonna be long.

and hoping those great qualities are lost in the onscreen translation. Our biggest fear about "Funny People," is that it will be too funny (no, seriously) and won't focus enough on the darker, harder bittersweet moments (which they are plenty of in the screenplay, it's Apatow's most mature work).

I liked the trailer a lot.

The length of Apatow's movies in the theaters is fine...it's the unrated DVDs that end up wearing out their welcome. 40 YOV is a perfect length as theatrical cut, and while there are funny parts in the unrated cut, it really throws off the pacing.
