First, this article doesn\’t provide the full interview and statements. It\’s not that Whedon doesn\’t want Coulson in the film universe anymore, he didn\’t want Coulson in this particular film, and stated that the timing wasn\’t right for him to come back yet. He also went on to explain that Fury and Hill know, but the Avengers don\’t, and it\’s something Shield doesn\’t completely want them to know you. In my opinion, the perfect time to have Coulson pop back up, would be Civil War. That alone could be a big, believable reason for the team to start turning on each other since mutants aren\’t set up so prominently yet.

Based on this and the Forbes article giving Feige\’s view, I wouldn\’t expect anything on Marvel\’s TV side to influence anything in the movies. Seems like the movies stand on their own — the TV showrunners reference characters and events in the films to provide a "Tie-in"

In this issue Joss Whedon can talk a big game but he helped create Agent of SHIELD. Hell, he directed the series pilot.
Coulson will probably find his way back to the big screen once Agents of SHIELD as a series is over. Could easily see him showing up in Infinity War

I don\’t think you can conceivably bank on audience goers having watched Agents of SHIELD (and really, who can blame them?) to suddenly have Coulson show up alive in the films with minimal to no explanation.
