Shia LeBeouf or Anton Yelchin? This is for The Man From UNCLE, not a remake of The Monkees.

Regarding the suggestions above, I reject the idea the John Hamm is out of play because of Mad Men. Most of the teenagers who go to the movies have never seen that show, and Hamm needs a big movie star part. Warners would be lucky to have him, and he\’d be dumb to turn it down.

Colin Firth can\’t do it because he needs to be available to play John Steed whenever they get around to taking another crack at the Avengers 9non-Marvel version)

The Tom Hanks idea is interesting. he may be a little too old, but I can see the idea having some appeal to him, being a child of the 60\’s and all. Actually, when you consider dean Martin\’s age when he was doing the Matt Helm\’s, Hanks\’ age might actually not be that out of line at all.

So yeah, I\’m going with that. Hanks and Skarsgard. Old hand and new guy. Go to town.

I have a feeling most of those actors are on the studio wish list…not the Soderbergh list…Soderbergh has never not cast a film well…so will be interesting to see.

DeMarco, there\’s a reason why those actors at Gossip Girl or One Tree Hill are only doing roles at … Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill. They\’re not very good actors and when those shows wrap, so do their careers (with the exception of potentially Blake Lively, but that\’s largely because of her personal life).

I\’d love to see either Ryan Gosling or Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Ilya with Robert Downey Jr. taking on Napoleon.

Anyone else tired of the same actors always shortlisted for everything lately? Why not a hip, young, rising star like one of the guys from the cast of Gossip Girl or One Tree Hill or even Shia LaBeouf or Anton Yelchin would be good.
