Nice! This is great news. JGL will butt heads with Gordon who is secretly still allied with Batman, and Cotillard will be the good girl to Selina\’s bad girl. Both will appeal to Bruce in different ways.

Makes perfect sense to me.

For Nolan\’s Batman franchise to truly end Bruce Wayne needs to GIVE UP the mantle of Batman & pass over the job of protecting the city to Gordon & the Gotham PD. Commissioner Gordon has always been the real hero of the Nolanverse (The Dark Knight really set that up). Giving Gordon a partner- hopefully incapable of being corrupt- is another step towards that direction.

I never though Cottilard would play Talia. Won\’t be JUST be coming off a pregnancy? Playing an attractive woman in a business suit would be an easier post-pregnancy role than an ass-kicking villain.

Cottliard playing a Wayne Enterprises board member can also be a counterpart to Joseph Gordon-Levitt\’s role. She\’s there to bring Bruce Wayne closer to being a businessman only & dropping the Batsuit. Would not be surprised if it\’s hinted (or they just go for it all out) she\’ll become a replacement for Rachel Dawes.

I agree that Miranda Tate = Talia Al Ghul. Being a board member of Wayne Enterprises is a good way to close to Bruce. I was hoping that Levitt was playing a Falcone, but I figured if he wasn\’t then he was probably playing a rookie cop. At least I was correct about the latter. I still hope the Falcones are in this story, though.

People are idiots to think Marion isn\’t playing Talia. I mean they just cast a young Ras Al Ghul for flashback scenes. Why would you have flashback scenes with Ras if he is not connected to the story in the present day with either him being still alive(Not going to happen in the Nolanverse) or his progeny continuing his crusade. A kind of Godfather Part II thing going on.

I also remember when Liam Neeson was cast as Henri Ducard, Bruce Wayne\’s mentor. lol.

Bane will seem like the big bad and the new leader of the league of shadows, but he is really being controlled by his lover Miranda Tate AKA Ras Al Ghul.
