Maybe it\’s some kind of reverse psychology Depp is using on Academy voters,and you guys are inside johnny Depp\’s head space? I think its safe to assume this isn\’t some sought of thing to say to get extra attention from the academy voters, to get them to say well johnny doesn\’t want one so for that very reason we will give him a nomination amongst other things like his incredible performance in the movie, i think it,s very genuine if Johnny Depp really wanted an oscar over the past few years he would have appeared in every oscar baiting movie left right and center, look at some of the movies he has done up till black mass!!!! but you at the playlist thing it might be reverse psychology what kind of crap is that or should i say wild assumption is that,it seems you at the playlist have this little thing against Mr Depp or you just really off your heads.

If he really didn\’t want an Oscar, then why did he get himself smeared with makeup till he was unrecognizable and give an overwrought and violent performance in a biopic?

He is right. He hasn\’t really changed his approach in the last decade. He\’s still the best in the world at transforming himself into a character, and truly inhabiting that character. The only difference in Black Mass is the film itself. It\’s a drama, not trying to be cute or asking Depp to be funny when he\’s clearly trying to tap in to something darker. Depp\’s ability to become these dark, strange characters are an amazing skill, but like any actor, they need a script and director that can focus and channel that while providing a film that supports it rather than hinges on it
