Hey, just came across your article on our film. I'm working for John and Maggie on outreach and thought you might like an update. John is currently in the Philippines in post-production, working with a mostly Filipino crew. The film will premiere at Toronto this year, and will also play at San Sebastian. I think fans of Matewan will like it a lot--especially the slow buildup in tensions. In addition to the blog, our facebook fanpage has additional photos and updates: http://bit.ly/Amigothemovie

If you'd like to learn more, please feel free to email. I really enjoy your blog, especially your lists of anticipated films!

Matewan is a great 'war film' in its own right that I'm excited to see how Sayles will tackle this. What a shame that even he can't get a novel published.
