Dakota Fanning as Cherie OMG what are these ppl thinking, great little actress sure, but way to sweetness & light for such a roll. I will not be able to suspend my disbelief for 1 second. And The twilight chick…she was good in Panic Room, but hasn't made one watchable movie since. She has about as much depth as a parking lot puddle when it comes to acting. Runaway Joan Runaway, befor this mess drags u down into it's black hole of suckness!

I'm a Runaways fan and Joan Jett's music is really important to me, so I really, REALLY hope this doesn't suck.

Well, they managed to pull it off in CONTROL with all of the actors playing their own instruments and Sam Riley singing himself and that was an amazing film.

Don't forget GEORGIA where Mare Winningham and Jennifer Jason Leigh did their own singing (and in Leigh's case painfully so - altho, that was intentional).

I also believe that Gina Gershon sang as well in PREY FOR ROCK 'N' ROLL and did a pretty good job even if she was ripping her moves off of all kinds of real-life female rockers.

Hrm. We'll see if Stewart can pull it off.
