Terrible script and predictable film. I dont why assistants in hollywood got all excited for this spec few years ago. It sounded corny as hell even then.

It’s a classic laid back love story, I think space geeks wanted it to be something else? Not every space movie needs aliens.

I waited for the release of this movie since it has a good cast and the plot even remind me of 2001 Space Odyssey, but I wasn’t able to watch the movie until the end, I don’t think I saw more than 30 minutes. While watching it I thought exactly what you expresed on the first lines of this article. This could have been a major film of the genre, for some reason both JLaw and Chris Pratt were so amazed by the script. But at the end it didn’t delivered and became a fiasco. Some parts are plain ridiculous. Not even the soundtrack was ok.
