First, Jennifer Lawrence has very little acting experience ( and she is not a trained actress ) , and it shows in all her performances ( she is always playing herself ) . Second, Lawrence's performance in Silver Linings Playbook was soulless , weak, and not credible ( it is beyond ridiculous that she won the Oscar over Riva and Watts ) . Third, flipping the " bird " at the Oscars does not make you look cool or hip- it makes you look classless and idiotic. I would love to see Meryl Streep or Judy Dench flip the bird at the Oscars. People are going to get tired of Lawrence's antics, and she will receive a backlash.

I think she's funny, but I don't think being funny or charming should earn you an oscar but sadly the academy awards are like the vmas of serious films, emmanuelle riva was more deserving, i mean i don't even get why people like the silver lining playbook, david o. russell has done so much better films than that, but his new film was like the cheap version of as good as it gets & i also think that lawrence just plays herself, but well i guess the girl next door charm is what counts in these things

If this is another celebrity who hadn't been loved so much like her, people will definitely call the person a douchebag,a jerk,etc.,not "being real". Why the double standard? Why can't she act like an adult since she's been a celebrity for quite a while? She's been doing so many promo events and press junkets after THG's success. Why is she still being like that? From Golden Globes pressroom to Oscars pressroom, all she does is not cute,but immature. Being like that at a graceful and humble event like these award shows is annoying. She was just like a douchebag who's all herself comparing to other nominees. I just dont understand why so many fans,especially teens, are here to defend her. What happened to the kids now? Being all self is not what you should learn as a kid.

I also think it's odd that she is getting praised as "adorable" for doing things like the things flipping the bird, swearing, smoking weed, and making hurtful comments in interviews while other actors/actresses who do the very same things are crucified. It's not the age either because there are so many other actresses just as young or younger who aren't given their due and most likely wouldn't behave this way if given the opportunities she has. Beyond that, I think she is a very good actress and enjoy her roles, but not the greatest thing since sliced bread. Check out Saoirse Ronan, Jessica Chastain, and Jena Malone's work. They are cameleons in their roles, extraordinarily gifted, classy and are true artists. None of them have gotten their due yet.
