The Wettest County was still filming this spring and probably won\’t be ready for the the fall festivals and will probably be a race to make a December release.

This isn\’t about Young Adult, but is it any surprise that The Wettest County in the World isn\’t scheduled for any festivals despite the rumor that it is being released this year? I still hope it is.

I was not a fan of this script at all, but I will say it\’s primed for an Oswalt break out, a perfect casting choice. That being said the script I read had no narrator, so I have no clue what changes have been made, I would guess with Simmons narrating her life as if it was one of Theron\’s character\’s books. My hunch is that if the ending hasn\’t changed significantly, which the narrator part may have taken care of, this movie will be Reitman\’s most poorly received film.
Here\’s to hoping I am wrong.
