Edge of Darkness was a drama with occasional bits of violence, not an action picture. As a character study in grief, it worked pretty well, with terrific work from Gibson and Ray Winstone. Campbell rarely misses with the whole \’characters/acting\’ thing, so it\’s just a question of whether the cast can deliver and if he can handle the sci-fi action. As a HUGE fan of his previous work (Mask of Zorro is arguably my favorite superhero film and Goldeneye is my favorite 007 picture), I\’m holding out hope that the trailer was just an editing botch.

It\’s Hans Zimmer not Howard Zimmer and just for your information as you don\’t seem to know anything about films scoring, Hans Zimmer has said in many interviews that James Newton Howard is the better composer and the one largely responsible for the music of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, as Zimmer confessed to only supplying the music for the Joker, as Howard did the rest (Harvey Dent, Batman, Rachel Dawes and Commissioner Gordon) this is because Zimmer cannot compose and score, because he only writes big action themes, not character and subtle work which is needed in a score. Newton Howard does.
