RASHANT DEKA, your opinion is very different than mine. I thought Amazing Spider-Man 2 was by far the worst. Raimi\’s films had problems, but they were good (the first film was decent, second film was good, third film being so-so). Amazing Spider-Man I thought was okay, but Amazing 2 was just sloppy. Two hours and a half and they still managed to make the film feel rushed.

I don\’t completely agree that AS-2 was a terrible movie. sure, the first part was the worst Spiderman movie ever but I think the sequel was very decent…it had some flaws but it was better than Sam Raimi\’s one..i don\’t understand the criticism AS-2 is getting..it focussed more on Peter\’s personal dwellings than on action… hope the 3rd part is better in terms of character development.

While not wrong, Horner\’s score for the first film sucked. Too many praised it falsely based on the fact that Horner was the one to compose it but it was so soulless and bland. Not that Zimmer & Co.\’s work for 2 was any better. They should just re-hire Elfman at this point.

Webb is a promising director and an interesting storyteller. But Sony doesn\’t seem to want that. They just wanted a young director they could control.

That\’s a relief to hear; Webb did a fine job with 500 Days of Summer, and his flat work with the Spider Man franchise was a dissapointment. Hearing that he was probably railroaded gives me a little hope that we\’ll see good stuff from him in the future.
