None of the Indie Wire links actually originate a "falling out" between Fassbender and Ramsay. But, Screen Daily alluded to the such without backing it up with a source. IW doesn't link to them, though.

Why don't they try and get Fassbender back? If he left because of the director. Although, I believe that there might be a scheduling conflict with Days of Future Past, as well.
