I don't see the point of another star wars movie if it's going to be the same characters. Really? another movie about a 'young' Yoda or whatnot. It's getting a bit boring, isn't it? I know, maybe C-3PO and R2D2 can miraculously play an integral part in another storyline somehow! Won't that be just what everyone wants to see! A new hope, for me, would be a fairly dark Bobba Fett tale, a stand alone, having NOTHING TO DO with the main characters or original story line.
It seems like that's what they're trying for with Wolverine, which, if it works, would be a great template. I guess I'd even be okay with a young Han Solo movie if it has to go that route, but for god's sake show us something we haven't seen before, and don't base it on a reference a character made in one of the origanls.
It's a big world, JJ. go outside and look around.
As an aside, why not let Ridley Scott direct one of these? Or Michel Gondry?
