There's no way he can pull this off. Love him or hate him Star Wars is 100% George Lucas. His corny dialogue, his naive outlook on life, his love for mythology and anthropology, his love of Kurosawa's staging, framing and cutting. The best JJ can do is turn in a passable corporate blockbuster. It won't feel like Star Wars though. I'd love to be proved wrong, but JJ just isn't up to the job.
