I liked Dark Knight and all, but I liked The Prestige and Memento alot more. I hate that certain directors or actors would fall into these franchises that would then take over their lives, and basically become their only artistic output for years on end. I know Nolan’s written alot of different scripts (he’s mentioned a few, one being “the best thing he’s ever written”) and hasn’t had the chance to make them….I see this as his chance. And with a sci-fi epic or whatever, having Warner Bros fully back you budget wise ain’t bad. At least he knows what happened with The Fountain won’t happen to him.
