How did magruber get on this list? The rest of those things totally belong on the list, but Macgruber? There is a large amount of people who LOVE this skit and amazingly are sober, so thanks for the origionality homes.

I will say, for all of the stupidity of this particular "white guy" riff – there doesn't seem to be much reason for assuming it'll be a self-pitying white boy's movie – it's a step up from your more formal movie reviews. I happen to love the Spiderman review. Some of my favorite lines: "this film is a kamikaze." Or: "Maguire is the dorky Peter Parker, a science dork pushed around by the school." Is that the physical building? The whole school? And is he really a dork? Or "he is no longer modern man: he is Spider-Man". You could single-handedly revive print criticism.

Why don't they just make a feature-length brickfilm? Wouldn't that be…much more financially prudent? I'm pretty sure Michel Gondry already has all the necessary Lego kits and will do the film for free.

I'm amused by the subtext of this piece of someone pretending that they never had a childhood as a child and were somehow immune to the materialist joys of youth.

Also, Enchanted was easily the best non-Pixar Walt Disney banner film this decade, unless you didn't see it because of some masculine insecurity about seeing a movie about princesses. Combine that with the co-writer of Tropic Thunder, and you may get the first subversive, decent toy adaptation (assuming Hasbro the Pooh keeps his paws away from the honey jar).

I mean the dig at the Social Network is... playful. We put it in our Most Anticipated ideas of 2010. It's more a playful dig at the idea.

MacGruber could be fun too. The rest though, god, no joking around, all unforgivable.

Pretty good list, I'm in between on Social Network just because I love when Fincher directs... but he needs to return to thrillers (Se7en, The Game, Panic Room, Zodiac all have that in common). Zodiac should have been his big oscar come out party, but unfortunately it was Curious Case of Benjamin Button... not bad, just shouldn't have been his oscar nom.

It seems to me though that after the "success" of Starsky & Hutch they've been trying to milk that genre for everything it's worth. As for why anyone would want to update a board game, hell if I know. Clue was entertaining... but only because of the talent involved.

As for Asteroids, I can't argue. I created a game like it in a handful of days my high school senior year about 5 years back. Technology's come this far, I think we can not live in the past anymore and just move on.

Though on the bright side if they do make The Smurfs we can eagerly anticipate The Smurfs vs. Navi 30D to come in about 20 years or so.
