No James Bond continuation novel has EVER been used for a James Bond film. A basic scan of wikipedia would have told you this.

Well, at least in your defense, you can attribute this latest \”rumor post\” to the geeks at Bleeding Cool, who\’d hyperventilate at seeing the word \”Bond\” at a bank. But, the history of the franchise (and the financial and legal realities) shows that EON hasn\’t acquired any of the rights to any of the non-Fleming books (dating back to \”Colonel Sun\” in the \’60\’s) and that the theme artist (and title) are usually reserved for deeper into production and are heavily vetted through marketting.

Also, the word \”Gullible\” is not in the dictionary.

Do us a favor…Ignore it if anyone mentions the title is \”Beyond the Ice\” (which has been \”rumored\” at least once during the speculative \”silly season\” since \”Goldeneye\”) or that the \”Bond girl\” will be Aishwarya Rai (her publicist puts out a notice every time a new Bond is in the works—this time she\’s pregnant, so maybe we\’ll be spared it on this ocassion).

Oh. And David Arnold is doing the score (as he has since \”Tomorrow Never Dies\”—Interesting story: TND was originally called \”Tomorrow Never Lies\” but a clerical error changed it to \”Dies\”…and \”Licence to Kill\” was originally titled \”Licence Revoked\” until market testing showed that American audiences didn\’t know what \”Revoked\” meant…makes you wonder how \”Quantum of Solace\” got by (despite being an actual Fleming-penned title)
