I dunno. A visual director doing a musical will always pale in comparison to Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge! And I think he knows this.

Maybe it wasn't the right musical for him (Sounds like it's other ppl's project that wanted to hire him), but yeah, I suspect before his career is over he'll try and tackle one.

I'm not that excited about this remake (except for the fact that Emma Thompson is penning it), but I wonder why Boyle skipped over "My Fair Lady"? I thought a musical would be right up his alley. But this film sounds right up his alley too. 😉 Decisions, decisions…
